Two Things for Today…October 30th, 2008

First,

Phillies have won the World Series!!! I am ecstatic, right now. Let me tell you. The only problem is I am 650 miles away from all the riotous action. From one source I heard a CBS van was getting tipped over, from another a stop sign was ripped out of the ground as people cheered and cops stood by and high fived and cheered with the group. It was an amazing night for the city of Philadelphia. The greatest part had to be Cole Hamels getting MVP after his outstanding 4 wins in the post-season. Although, I myself would have to give it to Brad Lidge, who was perfect in wins and saves this season. It is still hard to believe…

Second,

Today Ubuntu 8.10 was released. Added Wi-Fi support is just one new feature of the OS. I’m sure you can find the other features here. And, it just helps to know one of the best Linux OS alternatives to Microsoft Windows is still kicking strong and against the overwhelming tide of Mac and Windows.  Download Ubuntu 8.10 here.
